Is my data private?

Yes. Notes stay on your device by default. Voice transcription runs on-device via Apple's Speech framework. Full details in our privacy policy.

How do I cancel Echo Pro?

iPhone Settings → tap your Apple ID → Subscriptions → Echo → Cancel. Your Pro features stay active until the current period ends.

How do I restore my purchase on a new device?

Open Echo → Menu (top-left) → Upgrade to Pro → Restore Purchase. Make sure you're signed into the same Apple ID that purchased the subscription.

Voice recording isn't working

Make sure Echo has microphone and speech recognition permission: iPhone Settings → Echo → enable Microphone + Speech Recognition. Requires iOS 17 or later.

Widget shows empty

Add at least one note in the app, then remove and re-add the widget. iOS occasionally needs a nudge to refresh. If it persists, email us.

I lost my notes

Echo stores notes locally. If you deleted the app without Cloud Sync enabled, notes cannot be recovered — we have no copy. With Cloud Sync (Echo Pro), notes are in your iCloud and restore automatically on re-install.

How do Neural Links work?

Echo analyzes your notes on-device to find semantic connections — notes that share themes, emotions, or ideas. No data leaves your phone. Free tier shows a preview; Echo Pro unlocks unlimited links.

Can I export my notes?

Yes. Menu → Settings → Export. You'll get a JSON file with all notes, tags, and timestamps.
